The dust collected on the windings can combine with the humidity in the ambient conditions and cause walks and jumps on the winding surface with high voltage effect. For this reason, annual maintenance of box type transformers must be carried out regularly. During the maintenance, it is important to clean the transformers and coils as much as possible and remove dust. In addition, reducing the amount of dust entering the environment and protecting the system from dust will increase the energy supply security of the system. For this reason, the filters in the ventilation grilles on the rooms and doors must be cleaned at least once a year according to the pollution status. It is also necessary to control the amount of humidity in the environment and, if possible, to keep it under control with the right ventilation methods.
